Malibu Kayaks Pro Explorer Information
Malibu Kayaks Pro Explorer sits in the middle of the Malibu Kayaks range. Designed to provide stability with easy paddling manners from a medium size hull.
The Fish and Dive spec Pro Explorer is fitted with 2 rod holders, an easy access centre hatch and a monster forward storage hatch. At 12'6 long the hull has good forward speed whilst retaining its manoeuvrability. Stability is derived from the hull volume either side of the paddler and the upturn and flare in the bows improve the water shedding whilst paddling into the chop.
The payload on this kayak is enormous at 450lbs and the deck is designed to accommodate dive tanks or 5 gallon bait bucket.
The Pro Explorer is big enough to be a great angling sit on top as well as a touring or fitness kayak. Solidly built and a great design the Pro Explorer is worth checking out.
