Malibu Mini X is the small fishing, diving and recreational Sit On Top kayak that's been missing from the marketplace for so long. Stability and manoeuvrability in a 2.7m boat makes the Mini X the best-loaded small fishing / diving kayak available.

The volume distribution in the hull cross section provides great stability and a dryer ride. You can see from the images that the Mini X is not just a fishing platform it is also a family sit on top kayak.
We are impressed with the rigidity and mechanical strength of the hull moulding. The Mini X is 9'3" (2.7m) long and 33.5" wide making it the widest Malibu Kayak in the range. Storing the Mini X is easy, car topping is easy and the Mini X is stackable one on top of the other.
You can fit a variety of different backrests, while we recommend the Apex 1 Seat for its excellent back support. It is also possible to fit other deck mounted rod holders to complete the custom fit to your requirements.

There are 2 models available:

The Rec. Model features 2 rod holders, a large centre hatch and a blank forward deck. It is perfect for any paddler looking for a simple sit on top kayak - the hatch is ideal for carrying a picnic, a camera or the kids beach toys.
Both models feature side carry handles plus bow/stern toggles, moulded footrests, drainage holes & plenty of attachment loops.
The Fish & Dive Model features 4 rod holders, a hinged circular bow hatch, and a large rectangular centre hatch. The F&D is ideal for fishermen or paddlers wanting to take other gear out on the water. Keep your prized catch secure in the storage hatches, or carry your scuba gear on the rear deck.

light, stable with a great payload and deck area for accessories. Most definatley one of the best small water yaks around. Is perfect for short distance/drifting down river/creeks/streams and surfing situations.

I love my Mini.

My Mini X is my second kayak. My first kayak (won't mention brand), I bought for less than $400.00 and thought I was getting a great deal. Last summer, I ran into Wayne while fishing in Muskoka. I was complaining about my inability to control my kayak and he pulled a Mini X out of a trailer and told me to try it. I bought it on the spot and could not be happier. It is light, easy to transport, has lots of leg and storage room, and tracks really well. I think it is time to add an X-Wing. See you soon Wayne! Anybody want a used Pelican? It is like new, used only once.
